The Board of the Company comprises Mr Adrian Larking (Managing Director), Dr. Jörg Baumgärtner (Non-Executive Director), Mr Alan Knights (Executive Director) and Mr Scott Spencer (Non-Executive Director). Adrian Larking (Managing Director) (BSc Hons., MSc, LLB, Grad. Dip. Legal Practice) Mr. Adrian Larking is a geologist and lawyer with extensive local and international experience in the oil and gas and minerals industries. He has held a range of managerial positions in the Petroleum and Exploration Divisions of Western Mining Corporation, including that of Executive Assistant to the General Manager of Olympic Dam Operations and Commercial Manager.
Jörg Baumgärtner (Non-Executive Director) (Dipl. GeoPhys, PhD.)
Dr. Jörg Baumgärtner holds a PhD degree attained at the Ruhr-University in Bochum, Germany and carried out post doctorate research at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California and at Dowell Schlumberger Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. He is based in Germany and is the CEO of BESTEC GmbH and BESTEC Drilling GmbH; companies that are actively involved in European deep geothermal projects.
Dr. Baumgartner is currently a member of both the Management and Supervisory boards of the Soultz Geothermal Project in Soultz-sous-Forêts / Kutzenhausen, France. This project is the foremost Enhanced Geothermal System in Europe with contributions from French, German and British participants. Alan Knights (Executive Director) (BEcon., MBA, CPA) Mr. Alan Knights is a Bachelor of Economics and Master of Business Administration in addition to being a Certified Practising Accountant. He has more than 30 years experience in the finance and mining industries and held the posts of Group Treasurer, Company Secretary and General Manager Finance at WMC Limited and Chief Financial Officer of Perilya Limited.
Scott Spencer (Non-Executive Director) (BA Hons, BPhil., MLitt)
Mr. Scott Spencer holds a BA(Hons) degree attained at University of Western Australia and BPhil and Mlitt degrees from St Antony’s College Oxford. He joined the Department of Foreign Affairs in 1972 and held numerous government posts before being appointed Regional Director in Western Australia in 1990. In 1994 he was appointed Executive Director of Hardman Resources Limited a post held until November 2005. During this period he played an integral part in the rapid growth of Hardman Resources to its current market capitalisation of in excess of $1 billion. He is currently Non-Executive Chairman of Monitor Holdings Limited, an ASX listed oil and gas company. |
